Conducting Fellowship: Verbier Festival
Appointed as Conducting Fellow for the 2023 Verbier Festival. Jaehyuck will be conducting the Verbier Festival Orchestra and the Verbier Chamber Orchestra as well as assisting Maestros Zubin Mehta, Daniele Gatti, Klaus Makela, and Lahav Shani.
Invitation for Audition: The Philadelphia Orchestra
Invitation to audition for the Assistant Conductor Position of The Philadelphia Orchestra. Jaehyuck will conduct Brahms Symphony 1, Stravinsky Firebird, Tchaikovsky Violin Concert, and Price Symphony 1 at the audition conducting the Philadelphia Orchestra.
World Premiere: Straight to Heaven
Commissioned by, and written for the Ensemble Intercontemporain, the Straight to Heaven (1.1.1.1-1.1.1.1-1perc-1hp-1pf-1.0.1.1.1) gets its world premiere in Philharmonie de Paris in France on 11 March 2023. Performance by the Ensemble Intercontemporain, and direction by Toby Thatcher. Learn more

Assistant: Paavo Jarvi / Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen Korean Tour
Appointed as an assistant conductor for Paavo Jarvi’s Korean tour with the Deustche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen.

Presented by the Seoul Arts Center, on 28 Dec 2022 ensemble blank performs three pieces under the theme of “Snow”. Jaehyuck Choi’s Snow for two pianos, Antonio Vivaldi’s “Winter” from the four seasons, and Hans Abrahamsen’s Schnee for ensemble. Learn more

Jaehyuck will be conducting the 1st movement of Robert Schumann’s Symphony No.1 at the closing concert (18 Nov 2022) of the Conductor’s Academy with Maestro Paavo Jarvi. Watch
